INIS Update: Revised Immigration Rules for Non-EEA Stamp 1A Trainee Accountants

The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) has published new immigration rules for trainee accountants who are non-EU/EEA and non-Swiss citizens (on stamp 1A). The new rules are in force from June 1, 2017.
The new rules aim to clarify how a trainee accountant can pursue a professional accounting qualification, including:
- Time allowed to complete a qualification
- Academic progress
- Changing courses
- Work placements
- Rules for accounting technicians
